  • “I view myself as a guide to the heart.”

I had an illness as a kid, and was sick a lot. That experience has always been in the back of the mind; the care my pediatrician provided inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. When I was a third year medical student, a child with the same illness I had as a kid came into the ER. I took it as a sign that this is the way my life should go, and I ended up in pediatrics.

Im a pediatric cardiologist; I view myself as a guide to the heart. Theres a lot of information out there, but it isnt always accurate and can be overwhelming. I spend a lot of time with families answering any questions they have, and educating them. That education is something that they can take with them anywhere they go.

Children naturally want to be happy, healthy and active. My goal is to get them to the healthiest state possible so they can do what they want to do. Everyone has a heart; I want to make sure your childs heart is healthy.
