Conditions We Treat

The Betty Irene Moore Children’s Heart Center care team at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford treats infants and children with all forms of congenital heart disease, from common conditions to extremely complex and high-risk cases. Below is a list of conditions we typically see in our Fetal Cardiology practice.

Low-risk conditions

If your baby has a low-risk condition, we work with your obstetrical provider to maintain your existing delivery plan. Examples of these conditions are:

Moderate and higher risk conditions

Most of the time, babies with a higher risk condition can still be delivered locally. However, there are times when we recommend delivering at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, where you have access to highly specialized care for your infant right after birth. If this is the case, our team will give you information about local housing resources and provide other support. Our team will also work with your other providers to facilitate a seamless transition of obstetrical care to Stanford Children’s Health. Examples of moderate or higher risk conditions are:
