Heart Transplant Outcomes
Our Heart Transplant Program has some of the highest pediatric graft and patient survival rates in the nation. According to the latest data published by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR), our program had the following outcomes:
Heart Graft Survival Rates
Graft survival rates represent the success of the transplanted organs after a period of time. If an organ fails, the child would need another transplant.
- One-year graft survival rate of 90.3% compared to the national average of 91.8%
- Three-year graft survival rate of 84.2% compared to the national average of 82.0%
Heart Patient Survival Rates
Patient survival rates represent if the patient is alive after a period of time following transplant.
- One-year patient survival rate of 90.3% compared to the national average of 92.6%
- Three-year patient survival rate of 88.8% compared to the national average of 83.5%
