Kidney Transplant Outcomes

Our Kidney Transplant Program has some of the highest pediatric graft and patient survival rates in the nation. According to the latest data published by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR), our program had the following outcomes:

Kidney Graft Survival Rates

Graft Survival rates represent the success of the transplanted organs over a period of time. If an organ fails, the child would need another transplant.

  • One-year graft survival rate of 98.4% compared to the national average of 96.7%
  • Three-year graft survival rate of 96.1% compared to the national average of 87.7%

Kidney Patient Survival Rates

Patient survival rates represent if the patient is alive after a period of time following transplant.

  • One-year patient survival rate of 100% compared to the national average of 99.6%
  • Three-year patient survival rate of 100% compared to the national average of 98.1%
