Liver Transplant Outcomes
Our Pediatric Liver Transplant Program has some of the highest pediatric graft and patient survival rates in the nation. According to the latest data published by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR), our program was the only one in the nation that had outcomes which were statistically higher than expected:
Liver Graft Survival Rates
Graft survival rates represent the success of the transplanted organs after a period of time. If an organ fails, the child would need another transplant.
- One-year graft survival rate of 94.0% compared to the national average of 89.1%
- Three-year graft survival rate of 97.6% compared to the national average of 84.4%
Liver Patient Survival Rates
Patient survival rates represent if the patient is alive after a period of time following transplant.
- One-year patient survival rate of 100% compared to the national average of 94.9%
- Three-year patient survival rate of 100% compared to the national average of 91.0%
