If you are a child's guardian, please ask your child's primary care physician or specialty physician to make a referral to the Pain Management Clinic
Pain affects the physical and emotional well-being of children. Whether it is associated with a chronic illness, an injury, or an unknown cause, pain interferes with recovery from illnesses, and depresses mood, and decreases sleep, performance in school, family and social interactions. The Pain Management Service at Stanford Medicine Children's Health and the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is dedicated to decreasing pain in infants, children and adolescents, and helping children get back to a healthy, active life. Using the most innovative and leading-edge techniques, our team individualizes treatment plans that combine conventional medicine with a variety of complementary approaches. We treat patients of all ages, from the newborn period to adulthood.
For additional details, please visit Stanford School of Medicine's Pediatric Anesthesia web site.
