Hearts and Hands
The Hearts and Hands volunteers are comprised of auxiliary and community members that provide direct service for patients and families across many hospital departments. The group creates hand-made christening gowns, baby blankets and quilts, cough pillows, medical play dolls, pocket pals for children in the Emergency Department, colorful pillowcases, and more.
Below you will find links to patterns of some of the many handmade items that Hearts and Hands creates. Anyone interested in making something special for the children is welcome to download patterns from our collection below.
In order to avoid allergic reactions, all blankets must be made with acrylic yarn. Use your favorite pattern or one of the patterns provided. Blankets can be any size. The following are just rough guidelines:
Crib blanket - 24"x 36"
Blanket - 34"x 46"
Afghans - 48"x 60"
