“Helping children get their lives back on track is a wonderful thing.”

Mi acercamiento

I'm the director of the child and adolescent eating disorder program. The work we do here is based on the involvement of parents and families in facilitating the recovery of their children's eating disorders.

We see families as being a resource for their children, and we help them learn how best to help their children overcome these disorders. We do it through specific therapies and interventions, and we have led the science and development that supports this.

This is a wonderful place to work because of its specific commitment to families of children with eating disorders. We are one of the few hospitals in the Western United States that has a specialized eating disorder program.

The thing that is most rewarding about the work we do is watching families and children overcome a significant emotional and health problem associated with eating disorders. We help them get their lives back on track, and that's a wonderful thing.
