  • "The children I take care of and their families are my unsung heroes."

As a pediatric cardiologist, my goal is to foster children's heart health for their lifetime. The children I take care of and their families are my unsung heroes. Their sacrifices and dedication inspire me to get up every morning and do the best job I can.

In addition to general pediatric cardiology, I also specialize in fetal cardiology, which means I often meet families at a vulnerable time when their unborn child may have a heart condition. I'm often the first person to tell them how their baby's heart might work differently, and I share with these families my knowledge of other children with similar conditions and how joyful their lives can be so they have a hopeful yet realistic outlook on the situation.

I work with families to provide the smoothest transition from their baby's life in the womb to their baby's life outside the womb. I walk with these families along that journey. It's so special to me that I get to take care of my patients from 18 weeks to 18 years old. I see my role as optimizing children's potential to be the best version of themselves they can be.
