  • “I always knew I wanted to work with children. That was my passion.”

I always knew I wanted to work with children. That was my passion. One day in middle school, I was riding on the bus and a friend told me about a profession called pediatrics. I said, "There really is a doctor that just cares for children? Well, then that's what I want to do."

It is a total privilege to be a pediatrician. I get to know families intimately and share in their joys, and I also help them through difficult times. I am a mother myself, and I have three kids who are all grown now. Being a pediatrician helped me be a better mother, and being a mother helped me be a better pediatrician. I know what it's like to be up all night with a sick child, and I understand the joys and challenges of parenting. I want parents to know I'm here to support them with whatever they're going through.
