How do you quarantine when you've been exposed to COVID-19?
If you've been exposed to the virus, quarantine can keep others safe and avoid spreading the virus.
While you're in quarantine, you'll need to stay home, avoid other people, and watch your health for signs of illness. Don’t go to school, work, or public areas. And don’t use public transportation, ride-shares, or taxis unless you have no choice.
Arrange to get some of the things you need without leaving home. For example:
- Use delivery and takeout services for groceries and meals.
- Have a healthy family member, friend, or neighbor shop for you.
- Ask your doctor for extra prescription medicine.
