I encourage people to view nutrition as an empowering tool, and children with specific dietary needs to view diet not as their identity, but more simply as one of the tools in their toolbox to help them be their happiest, truest selves.
I take a compassionate and holistic approach to settle parents’ distress, empower them with information, and diffuse anxiety so their children with diet-related conditions, such as celiac disease, can continue to have wholesome, healthy, and intuitive relationships with food.
My biggest inspiration in my work is the children I serve. I’m endlessly humbled by how grounded children can be in the face of adversity. Seeing kids adapt to living through what can feel like the roller coaster of chronic disease leaves me in awe of their resiliency and motivates me to tackle the barriers they face as a team. At the end of the day, these children are my teachers, mentors, and guiding lights.
