Our services include:
- Anticipatory grief support for families
- Individual, family, and group counseling for children and adults
- Referrals to community support (groups and individual)
- Follow-up outreach, through phone calls and mailings, and resources for bereaved families
- Staff support and educational materials
- Newsletter for bereaved families
The Family Guidance & Bereavement Program has been developed with the support and participation of The Family Partners Program - a group of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford bereaved family members who work on a variety of initiatives designed to improve aspects of our care for families facing the death of a child.
Annual Events
Annual Day of Remembrance
Join with other families for a day of rededication and remembrance for children who have died. Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford bereaved families will be invited for children who died up to six months before the event.
Memory Making Day
An afternoon for bereaved families to join together and participate in supportive activities.
Summer Scamper
An opportunity for bereaved families to join together and participate in supportive activities.
Donations
All of our services are funded through philanthropy. If you would like to make a donation, please donate online here or send a check to the address below. Checks can be made payable to LPCH, LPFCH, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, or Lucile Packard Foundation. Please write “Family Guidance & Bereavement Program” in the memo portion of the check.
