What to Expect

While each patient’s experience will vary, there are some elements that most patients should expect. These include the following:

• An initial visit with a surgeon and a gastroenterologist to develop a diagnostic plan
• A series of diagnostic tests, which will vary depending on the patient but may include x-rays, endoscopy, impedance probe studies, EndoFlip, gastric emptying studies, and more
• A meeting with your child’s full care team to formulate a comprehensive treatment plan

Also, please note that in most cases there is no need for your child to fast before your office visit.
