Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is one of our many fertility treatments. It is less invasive than in vitro fertilization (IVF), and your doctor might decide that it is a good early step for you.
We may recommend IUI to increase the probably of pregnancy when there is:
IUI is an office procedure and involves carefully placing sperm (with the help of a very thin flexible catheter (tube)) directly into your uterus, bypassing the cervix and allowing more sperm to reach the egg. Having an IUI is something similar to undergoing a PAP smear.
The IUI procedure takes just a few minutes, and you will be able to return to regular activities immediately afterwards.
