Our Services

The Neonatal Neurology team offers complete, comprehensive care for babies with neurological conditions, both in our Neuro-Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Neuro-NICU) and in our Outpatient Neonatal Neurology Clinic. We also provide prenatal consultation for fetal conditions in conjunction with the Fetal and Pregnancy Health Services.

Our services include:

  • Prenatal consultation for brain and nervous system conditions diagnosed during pregnancy
  • Inpatient Neuro NICU services 
  • Outpatient Neonatal Neurology Clinic
    • Referrals accepted from Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) and pediatricians for new patient consultations and second opinions up to age 2.
    • Follow-up services provided for all Neuro NICU graduates   
  • EEG (Electroencephalography)
    • Video EEG monitoring available 24/7 in our NICU
    • Outpatient EEG services include routine awake and asleep studies without sedation, and prolonged or ambulatory EEG monitoring when needed.
    • All EEGs are interpreted by board-certified pediatric neurophysiologists.
    • Amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG)   
  • MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
    • Inpatient and outpatient MRI available
    • Whenever possible, MRI is performed without sedation.
    • All MRIs are interpreted by pediatric neuroradiologists
  • Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS)
