Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program Research and Innovation

Vera Moulton Wall Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease at Stanford is a research leader in pulmonary vascular disease in both children and adults. There are few places in the world like Stanford Medicine, where research is so deeply supported and commonplace. We conduct a wide variety of research efforts for pulmonary vascular disease, which include clinical studies for monitoring outcomes in children with pulmonary hypertension, basic and translational research (bringing research discoveries into bedside clinical care), and bioengineering research. Learn more about our research efforts within the Vera Moulton Wall Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease at Stanford.

At Stanford Medicine, we have multiple, ongoing clinical trials for pulmonary hypertension. Ask your Stanford Children’s Health or community cardiologist for a referral if you are interested in learning about innovative clinical treatments for your child.

In addition, our Stanford Medicine Children’s Health and Betty Irene Moore Children’s Heart Center providers are nationally recognized experts in the field and participate in multiple national and international organizations, focusing on advancing the care of children with pulmonary vascular disease, including the Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Network, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, and the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute.
