Thyroid Conditions We Treat

At the Children’s Thyroid Center, our team works together with your child and your family to treat a range of conditions affecting the thyroid.

What are the most common thyroid conditions?

Most of our patients have thyroid conditions that fall into three categories.

The first, hyperthyroidism, is when the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone. The second, hypothyroidism, is when the thyroid gland produces too little thyroid hormone. The third is when growths occur on the thyroid, either cancerous or noncancerous.
