  • “My goal is to deliver the highest quality of care to children in the most compassionate way.”

I knew that I wanted to be a doctor from the time I was 5 years old and I dedicated myself to achieving that goal. I apply that same passion, persistence, and determination with my patients. If there is an issue, I'm going to keep working hard until I can solve it.

My background in the military has played a big role in shaping how I practice medicine; we believe in service before self and excellence in all we do, and I take those concepts to heart when it comes to my patients. I attend conferences and attempt to stay up-to-date on the latest medical advances to practice high-quality, evidence-based medicine. I take every parent or caregiver's concern very seriously and trust them because they are the ones who truly know their child. Often, you can come to a diagnosis without even touching the patient, all you need to do is listen carefully to the history.

I also think having children of my own has made me a better pediatrician in many ways. Having that experience, especially a child with special needs, has filled me with compassion for what parents are going through. When I have patients in front of me, I focus on truly understanding where they're coming from and putting myself in their shoes. I treat each child as if he or she were my own. My goal is to deliver the highest quality of care to children in the most compassionate way.
