Mark Datuin, RN, MSN
Radiology Nurse Manager

Mark is from Los Angeles. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University 2004 followed by a Master’s degree in Nursing from University of Phoenix in Management & Education 2007. Mark worked in adult Emergency departments or EMS services since the age of 18 years, and his first job was as a locksmith.  He has received Nurse-of-the- Year awards at every hospital he’s worked at.

A fun fact about Mark: “I can make a great pig balloon animal from a large glove!”

Shannan Church, RN, BSN
Interventional Radiology Nurse

Shannan grew up in Jerseyville, IL and received her ADN from Lewis and Clark College.  She completed her BSN in 2012. After working in travel nursing at pediatric acute care hospitals. , Shannan decided to specialize in Radiology Nursing. She has worked in Pediatric Interventional Radiology at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Rady San Diego Children’s Hospital, and assisted with the Radiology expansion at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and joined the team at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in 2014.

A fun fact about Shannan: “I’m an older sister and love the joy that working with children brings.  I love the motto “laughter is the best medicine,” so you will always find me with a smile on my face or laughing.”

Michelle Beringer, RN, BSN
Interventional Radiology Nurse

Michelle grew up outside of Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh’s nursing program in 2007.  She worked in her home state and then became a travel nurse working in CVICUs and PICUs. Michelle has been a member of the Radiology team Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford since April 2013.

A fun fact about Michelle: “I love working in Pediatrics because I am a big kid at heart.”

Chad Howard, RN, BSN
Interventional Radiology Nurse

Chad grew up in South Texas in the little ‘ol two-cow town of Corpus Christi TX. He attended Del Mar College and, after passing his boards, worked at Driscol Children's Hospital in the ER, the NICU / PICU, and as a flight nurse. Chad also worked as a traveler at Primary Children's Hospital and Seattle Children's Hospital and then moved to the bay area.

A fun fact about Chad: “I love our patients. They are often the same kids I cared for early in life and it’s a very rewarding experience establishing a relationship with their families. An asset I bring to this department is “kid” being my second language.  I am willing to color with the best of them...

Erran Gipson, ARRT RT(R)
Interventional Radiology Technologist

Erran grew up in Titusville, FL and graduated from Brevard College.  He worked at Parrish Medical Center Interventional Radiology and X-ray for 7 years, then moved to Jacksonville, FL where he helped with the expansion of the Radiology department.  Erran also traveled as an IR technologist, working for three facilities across the U.S. He joined the team at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in September. 2013.

A fun fact about Erran: “I have a beautiful pug named Mimi. I treat her as my child!

Kevin R. Shoaf, ARRT RT(R)
Interventional Radiology Technologist

Kevin grew up in San Diego and attended San Diego Mesa College.  He has been a radiographer since 2004 and a special procedure technologist since 2008.  Kevin joined the team at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in 2014.

A fun fact about Kevin: “I enjoy racing cars and playing golf.  I also love teaching my dog, Tonka, to do new tricks.”
