  • “It is important to me to discuss options with families so that we can develop a plan together based on their needs.”

I believe in conducting my practice in a professional and courteous manner. It is very important to me that I explain, teach and discuss testing, treatment and follow-up options with my patients and their families in a straight-forward, plain-spoken manner, without the use of extensive medical language. This allows my patients to better understand what may often be complicated genetic conditions, so we can develop a plan together, based on the family’s needs.

I enjoy finding a diagnosis that unifies the various problems or symptoms a patient may have, sometimes after his or her having seen numerous specialists from a diversity of disciplines. When I can provide a prognosis, validate the family’s concerns, or assuage them, that is the most fulfilling aspect of my job.
