Sukhjit Basi, MD

Sukhjit Basi, MD, was born in India and immigrated to the United States at the age of 2. She was valedictorian of her high school class and went on to earn a bachelor of science in biology at the University of California, Davis. She attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, then moved back to California for her residency at Adventist Health White Memorial, Los Angeles. Dr. Basi joined Livermore Pleasanton San Ramon Pediatrics Group in 2007. She is proud to have a positive impact on her patients and families. When not at work, she enjoys dancing, playing badminton, and spending time with her family.

V. Anthony Chiong, MD

V. Anthony Chiong, MD, attended medical school at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York, and completed his residency at NYU Langone Medical Center/Bellevue Emergency Medicine in New York City. Dr. Chiong joined Livermore Pleasanton San Ramon Pediatrics Group in 2001. He has a special interest in treating children with sports-related issues, including asthma, and uses his interests in travel and sports to engage with his patients on a personal level. Dr. Chiong approaches patient care as a privilege and feels that being able to contribute to children’s lives and well-being makes pediatrics the best job he could ask for.

Pamela Kum, MD

Pamela Kum, MD, is a Stanford University alumna who was born and raised in the Bay Area. After leaving to complete her medical degree at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and her pediatric residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, she sought out opportunities to return to California and her roots at Stanford. She has been practicing at Livermore Pleasanton San Ramon Pediatrics Group since 2019. Dr. Kum has a special interest in medical informatics as a tool to help provide better, more efficient care to patients. When not working, she follows Stanford University and Bay Area sports and enjoys cooking and outdoor activities.

Johnette Leikam, MD

Johnette Leikam, MD, grew up in Visalia, California. After finishing medical school at the University of Texas at Houston, she returned to California to complete her pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital Oakland. She joined Livermore Pleasanton San Ramon Pediatrics Group in 1986. Her professional interests include adolescent medicine and eating disorders. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, crafts, traveling, skiing, and spending time with her husband and adult children.

Lara Lembach, MD

Lara Lembach, MD, attended medical school at the UCI School of Medicine in Irvine, California, where she graduated third in her class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Pediatric Residency in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Lembach has been with Livermore Pleasanton San Ramon Pediatrics Group since 1998. She lives in the Tri-Valley area with her husband and two children and is active in her community. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, art, spending time with her family, traveling, and hiking.

Misha Roitshteyn, MD

Misha Roitshteyn, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed his pediatric residency training at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and has been practicing pediatrics in the Bay Area since 1994. His special interests include general pediatrics, adolescent medicine, integrative and alternative medicine, behavioral and developmental pediatrics, and pediatric dermatology. In addition to his clinical work, he also works as an assistant clinical professor teaching medical students. Outside of work, he loves to travel, explore photography and research medical history.

Alison Werne, MD

Alison Werne, MD, received her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont, and completed her residency training at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. During medical school, she had the opportunity to practice in all areas of medicine, both surgical and nonsurgical, and knew that pediatrics was where she could make the biggest difference. Throughout her education, she received academic awards of excellence, including being elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and graduating with honors. Dr. Werne has worked for Livermore Pleasanton San Ramon Pediatrics Group since 2003. Her professional interests include asthma and developmental pediatrics. She is married with two children, and believes being a mother has made her a more empathetic pediatrician.

Staci Sampo, RN, CPNP, IBCLC

Staci Sampo, RN, CPNP, IBCLC, is a certified registered nurse and pediatric nurse practitioner. She received her bachelor of science and master of science in nursing from the University of California, San Francisco and worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital Oakland for eight years before joining Livermore Pleasanton San Ramon Pediatrics Group in 1999. Her professional interests include nutrition, asthma, and breastfeeding. After realizing there was a need for breastfeeding support of new moms and babies, she became a lactation counselor, and in 2002 she became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
