Pediatric Cardiac Psychology Program

US News - Stanford Children's Health

The intent of the Pediatric Cardiac Psychology Program at Stanford Children’s Health is to evaluate and address mental health concerns of pediatric cardiology outpatients in the Betty Irene Moore Children’s Heart Center. The outpatient program currently provides services to the Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Therapies (PACT) and Electrophysiology (EP) teams. The program focuses on the psychological needs of patients and families, with assessment of current functioning in the emotional, academic, social and behavioral areas. We know that diagnosis and treatment are stressful times. Our service is here to help patients and families cope with these stressors.
