“My goal is to cure 100 percent of children with cancer because I believe that's possible.”

My Approach

I am the first person in my family to graduate from college, much less medical school and graduate school. My mother grew up in Japan during WWII and my father was in a Japanese Internment camp. My parents taught me the importance of a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

I am serious about patient care and focused on being compassionate and meeting the needs of my patients, who are going through one of the most difficult experiences of their lives. I get so much pleasure out of my work, and my patients inspire me every day. I am proud to be a member of this extraordinary hospital, where we are committed to taking the best care of children. The more I'm here, the more I realize how great this place is. The quality of the physicians, leaders and scientists is unparalleled.
