Sophie's Place Broadcast Studio

Original TV programs for our patients and families

Sophie’s Place is Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford's in-house broadcast studio. The studio team creates original TV programs for our patients and families. All of our shows are broadcast on our closed-circuit TV network to every patient room, on channel 71. Sophie’s Place is run by our studio team of media professionals who pride themselves on creating a fun and positive media experience for our patients and families.

Services provided by Sophie’s Place Broadcast Studio:

  • Tune in to fun live and prerecorded programs hosted on our closed-circuit network, which only plays at Packard Children’s on Channel 71.
  • Patients can join in on any of our programs by calling in, hosting shows, editing videos, or creating videos at the bedside.
  • Our TV shows consist of craft tutorials, game shows, celebrity interviews, and much more.
  • Utilize our VIP Pass rewards program, whereby patients can win prizes by calling in and participating in our studio activities.
  • Patients can use their creativity to develop their own videos and shows with the help of our studio coordinators.
  • Join in on our fun bilingual shows, where the studio team partners with Family Centered Care to create programs in Spanish and English.
  • All studio programming serves patients who can leave their rooms as well as those patients who are on isolation.
