Research and Innovation

Over the past 30 years, our fundamental understanding of the genetics and development of congenital heart disease has lagged the tremendous advances in the surgical and clinical care of infants with this group of disorders. Our research aims to close this gap by combining genetics, genomics and epidemiology with clinical practice in pediatric cardiology to investigate the genetic and molecular causes of congenital heart defects and their long-term aftereffects in children and adults.
