Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are research studies that evaluate a new medical approach, device, drug or other treatment. Our Neurometabolic Clinic provides patients with access to the latest, most advanced clinical trials and research happening at Stanford School of Medicine. Our clinic is home to researchers like Gregory Enns, MD and Natalia Gomez-Ospina, MD, who are exploring groundbreaking and cutting-edge research on neurogenetic and neurometabolic problems.

For example, Dr. Enns’ research interests include novel means of diagnosing and treating mitochondrial disorders. He leads several ongoing patient registries and clinical trials.

Our neurogenomics team is interested in studying the natural history of very rare neurologic disorders and often enrolls patients in ongoing collaborative efforts to learn more about these disorders.
