“Sierra is a terrific addition to our Board,” said Jeff Chambers, board chair. “In addition to bringing considerable expertise from her academic and professional background, she will provide the invaluable link between the Packard family, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the hospital.”

Clark received her PhD from the Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health at New York University. She has taught courses on contemporary food issues and food culture at New York University and The New School.

In addition, Clark holds a B.A. from Brown University in International Relations, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and a Grand Diplôme in Culinary Arts from the French Culinary Institute. Clark has worked as a research associate at the Council on Foreign Relations and as an editor at Saveur magazine. She also serves on the Board of Directors for FoodCorps.

Today Clark lives in San Francisco with her husband and two year old daughter.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sierra to the Board,” said Christopher G. Dawes, president and CEO of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. “Her unique perspective will carry forward the familial legacy of Lucile Salter Packard that is so important to our organization, particularly during this time of growth for our hospital and network.
