Join thousands of Scamper-ers on June 21 for a fun, family-friendly event on the Stanford University campus
PALO ALTO, Calif.—The Summer Scamper 5k, Kids’ Fun Run, and Family Festival returns to the beautiful Stanford University campus on Sunday, June 21, promising to be a fun-filled morning for the entire family. Now in its 16th year, Summer Scamper is the largest community fundraiser of the year benefiting Stanford Medicine Children’s Health.
Every dollar raised supports extraordinary care and groundbreaking research for children facing serious illnesses. This year’s event will honor six inspiring Patient Heroes, including 8-year-old Sadie, who underwent a complex lung transplant at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, the heart of Stanford Medicine Children’s Health.
“Summer Scamper is one of our favorite days of the year—a celebration of community, of hope, and of everything we can accomplish together for kids and families,” says Cynthia Brandt, president and CEO of the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health. “Every dollar raised goes directly toward ensuring every child who comes through our hospital’s doors receives the exceptional care they deserve.”
The event will take place on Sunday, June 21, from 7:30 a.m. to noon on the Stanford University campus, at the corner of Galvez Street and Campus Drive. Participants of all ages can register for the 5k run, walk, and adaptive division, and children ages 3-10 can enjoy the Kids’ Fun Run. Every entrant receives a special limited edition Scamper T-shirt and a finisher medal. Registration includes access to the Family Festival, featuring music, food trucks, activities for children of all ages, booths from local businesses, wellness exhibits, and more.
Hosted by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, Summer Scamper has raised more than $7 million for Packard Children’s Hospital and the Stanford School of Medicine’s child and maternal health programs since 2011. Summer Scamper wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our lead sponsor, Stanford Federal Credit Union, and other generous corporate sponsors including Altamont Capital Partners, C.M. Capital Foundation, The Chartis Group, The Draper Foundation, Gardner Capital, Joseph J. Albanese Inc., Pan-Pacific Mechanical, Perkins Coie LLP, and Waymo.
