After-Hours Care
If you feel your child has a severe or emergency situation, call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room.
For urgent care needs on the weekend, our office is open Saturday mornings by appointment only.
By appointment only
Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. – noon, urgent care only
An additional fee applies to Saturday and holiday visits.
For less urgent situations, advice personnel are available by phone 24 hours a day. During Altos Pediatric Associates office hours, our advice nurses are available to answer your questions in consultation with our pediatricians at no charge to you. If you feel your child has an urgent situation that requires input from a health care provider outside of regular hours, call our telephone number.
Our answering service will fax a message to Night Nurse Pediatric Triage Services and a pediatric advice nurse can give you advice about your child's illness, injury or medications. Their advice is based on protocols that we have approved. At all times a pediatrician from our call group is available to provide back up. The following morning, a note documenting each call and the advice given is reviewed by our advice nurse as well as a pediatrician and then is placed in your child's medical record.
If you and the after-hours nurses determine your child needs to be seen, they can assist in scheduling an appointment at one of the local after-hours clinics.
The American of Pediatrics has created several fact sheets on a variety of after-hours issues.

If you are certain your child needs an appointment, you may directly schedule an appointment. Each clinic has board-certified pediatricians available for urgent care and provides us with a faxed note for us to review and place in for your child's chart and for follow up.
