Our Care Team

Patricia Ferrari, MD

Patricia Ferrari, MD, grew up in Rochester, NY, and received her undergraduate degree in biology from LeMoyne College in Syracuse. She received a PhD in anatomy and completed her MD at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1980, and she joined the faculty there as an assistant professor. She then moved to California to complete her internship and residency at Stanford. Dr. Ferrari has practiced pediatrics for over 20 years, first in Palo Alto and then in San Jose. She started South Bascom Pediatrics with Dr. Hughes in 2004. She lives with her husband and son, and when not at work she enjoys cooking, gardening and traveling with her family.

Marybeth Hughes, MD

Marybeth Hughes, MD, is from the local area and graduated from Prospect High School. She received her undergraduate degree in biology and her medical degree from the University of California at Davis. Her pediatric residency training was at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. She founded South Bascom Pediatrics in 2004 with Dr. Patricia Ferrari and enjoys caring for children in her community. Outside of work, she enjoys bicycling, skiing, ballroom dancing and gardening.

Christianne Strickland, MD

Christianne Strickland, MD, grew up in the Palo Alto area and graduated from Castilleja High School. She then attended UC Davis, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She received her medical degree in 2006 from New York Medical College and completed her residency training at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Dr. Strickland joined South Bascom Pediatrics in 2009 and is thrilled to be back in the Bay Area practicing pediatrics. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, baseball games, scrapbooking and traveling.
