Ronald McDonald House Services

Day Pass Program

The Day Pass Program offers Ronald McDonald House amenities to pediatric families receiving care at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and Stanford Health Care who are not currently staying at the House, by providing services during designated hours to families. All Day Pass participants must register upon their arrival at the House. A staff member or volunteer will provide a brief tour of the facilities and answer any questions. As some of our House residents have compromised immunity, all visitors must be in good health and free of symptoms such as sore throat, fever, cough, runny nose, etc.

Hours for the day pass, which is free of charge, are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., every day of the week. The following amenities are included with a day pass: use of communal kitchens to cook own meals with access to pantry, continental breakfast every day from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., dinner every day from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., fitness room, laundry rooms, private showers and restrooms, age-appropriate play areas (indoor and outdoor), seasonal day camps for patients and siblings, free parking and a shuttle.

The Ronald McDonald House Hospitality Cart

The Ronald McDonald House Hospitality Cart serves children and families at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Families at the hospital, including siblings, often wait long hours at the hospital or at their child’s bedside. Hospitality Cart volunteers move throughout the hospital and offer items such as toiletries, drinks, snacks, books, and age-appropriate activities and toys.
