  • “It's a privilege to help sick kids get back to normal.”

Being a doctor blends together all the things that are important to me in a career. It's intellectually stimulating, and I love the scientific aspect. It gives me an opportunity to be hands-on with people; I really like talking and interacting with my patients and their families. Kids have a certain lightness and happiness around them. You can feel the joy, even when they are sick.

It's a privilege to help sick kids get back to normal as much as possible. As a pediatric gastroenterologist, I see a wide range of conditions. Some patients just need a little bit of extra help, and some have incredibly complex issues. Whatever it may be, I want to be there for them. Every patient deserves that focus and attention. I want them to know I am dedicated to working with them to come up with a course of treatment that is going to bring them some peace and comfort.
