Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program Services

We provide care for your entire family, supporting your child’s pulmonary vascular disease needs while helping you and your child cope with everything that comes along with it. We offer the following services:

Evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of pulmonary vascular disease. When you bring your child to us, we will conduct a thorough evaluation, which may include:

Family-centered care and support. Our entire care team specializes in pulmonary vascular disease, including our doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, cardiac dietitians, and patient care coordinators. We are dedicated to providing customized support to your child and your family, which includes helping you:

  • Navigate your child’s diagnosis to ensure that your child is receiving adequate nutrition and growing properly.
  • Learn how to best support your child, including administering medicines.
  • Receive emotional support for you and your child.
  • Create a seamless transition to an adult pulmonary vascular disease program when your child reaches adulthood.
  • Handle logistics, such as transportation and housing during hospital stays, via our extensive patient and family services at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford.
  • Navigate next steps, such as securing home care equipment when needed, working with insurance, arranging for education plans at your child’s school, and anything else you may need.

Telehealth visits. After your child’s initial evaluation and testing, we are happy to explore the opportunity to provide some follow-up visits virtually via telehealth, to make care as convenient as possible for you.
