Joseph Miles Azurin, PharmD

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Azurin completed his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at the University of the Philippines and received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Loma Linda University. He is also currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences specializing in Pharmacy Administration and Leadership through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as part of the PGY1/PGY2 combined HSPAL program. As a student pharmacist, he was recognized and awarded nationally and internationally for his leadership and initiatives through the American Pharmacists Association and the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation.

Dr. Azurin’s professional interests include critical care, infectious disease, and medication safety. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and designing computer graphics.

Nick Ha, PharmD

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Ha received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Science and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific. During pharmacy school, he was involved in promoting professional advancement, education, and mentorship with the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists. He completed his rotations in the San Diego region, including Scripps Mercy Hospital, Rady Children’s Hospital, and the VA San Diego Healthcare System.

His professional interests include critical care and cardiology. During his free time, Nick enjoys longboarding, swimming, visiting museums and aquariums, trying new dessert places, and watching horror movies. 

Julia Halloran, PharmD

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Halloran completed her prerequisite coursework at the University of Arizona and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy. During pharmacy school, she worked as a pharmacy intern at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Tucson Medical Center. She completed her student rotations at various sites in multiple states, including Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital and Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Her professional interests include critical care and solid organ transplant. In her free time, she likes to travel, spend time with loved ones, read, and go on coffee runs.

Carli Ing, PharmD

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Ing received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Colorado and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy in 2025. During pharmacy school, she worked as a pharmacy intern at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She completed her fourth-year rotations at various sites including Children's Hospital Colorado, Children’s Hospital Colorado Springs, University of Colorado Hospital, and Advent Health Porter Hospital.

Her professional interests are general pediatrics and hematology/oncology/stem cell transplant. During her free time, Carli enjoys trying new food, going to Lagree fitness classes, playing pickleball and other various outdoor activities such as hiking and going to the beach. 

Celeste Medina, PharmD

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident – Transitions of Care

Dr. Medina received her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Science and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific in 2025. During pharmacy school, she worked as an intern at CVS pharmacy. She completed her rotations in the Inland Empire region of California at Riverside University Health System and Kindred Hospital Ontario.

Her professional interests include transitions of care, ambulatory care, and general pediatrics. During her free time, Celeste enjoys traveling, staying active, trying new coffee shops, and spending time with friends, family, and her dogs, Levi and Quincy.

Taylor Le, PharmD

PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Taylor Le earned his PharmD from the University of Findlay and completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley. He previously was a PGY-1 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick Maryland. He completed student rotations at Columbus Nationwide Children's Hospital, Mount Carmel Hospital, and the Poison Control Center. His professional interests include infectious disease, pediatrics, and healthcare policy. He has published in JAPhA, Innovations in Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Times.

He is currently working on a review of policy related to pharmacist provision of preventative services. Outside of work, he can be found at the movie theater or a board game cafe.

Mitesh Patel, PharmD, MBA

PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Patel completed his prerequisite course work at the University of South Carolina and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. While enrolled in pharmacy school, he completed his Master of Business Administration degree at The Citadel’s Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business. During pharmacy school, he interned at Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. He completed his PGY1 pharmacy residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and is now advancing into his second year, focusing on critical care.

His professional interests include critical care, general pediatrics, and nutrition. In his free time, Mitesh enjoys exploring local eateries, working on jigsaw puzzles, and traveling. 

Meera Vijayan, PharmD

PGY2 Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Vijayan completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at The University of Oklahoma in 2020 and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree with a Pediatric Degree Option at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2024.  During pharmacy school, she was an inpatient pharmacy intern at The Oklahoma Children’s Hospital. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.

Her professional interests include pediatric ICU and cystic fibrosis. During her free time, she enjoys exploring new beaches, trying new foods, watching reality tv, and spending time with her friends and family.
