Synaptopathy Clinic Care Team
The Synaptopathy Clinic brings together a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, geneticists, and research scientists dedicated to treating rare disorders of the synapse. Informed by state-of-the-art scientific and clinical research, our experts can help identify the causes of seizure disorders and developmental delays in your child. We are committed to translating emerging synaptopathy research into targeted therapies, providing each family with a customized care plan.
Dr. Knowles is the co-director of the Synaptopathy Clinic, PI of the STARR and PRoMiSS natural history studies, and she leads the Knowles Lab, which specializes in research related to biological mechanisms underlying pediatric forms of epilepsy, including synaptopathies. She is board certified in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology and Epilepsy.
