Prospective Volunteers

We love and appreciate the hundreds of dedicated volunteers at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. Whether they’re reading a bedtime story to a child, cuddling newborn babies or welcoming visitors to our hospital, volunteers are an important part of the extraordinary care we provide.

Volunteer Requirements

  • 6 month commitment (some programs require 1 year).
  • 1 shift per week.
  • The shifts are 2-3 hours long.

The volunteer onboarding process is as follows:

  • Complete the interview questionnaire.
  • Sign up for an interview.
  • If accepted into the program, the potential volunteer will be asked to complete the online application including submitting two references. This will be discussed further during the interview.
