The Family Guidance and Bereavement Program recognizes that nothing is more devastating than the death of a child. Our program offers compassionate and culturally responsive support for bereaved families. Our interventions focus on providing a safe space for families to process their grief, promoting long-term coping and resilience, creating connection and building community, and providing grief education and awareness.
Our services are offered in both English and Spanish.
Please email or call to speak with a clinician if you are interested in grief support.
Annual Day of Remembrance
Join with other Stanford Medicine Children’s Health families for a day of community, in honor and celebration of our children who have died. The Annual Day of Remembrance takes place each fall.
Family Memory Making Days
Spend an afternoon participating in meaningful activities in community with other bereaved families. Family Memory Making Days take place each spring and fall.
Summer Scamper
Summer Scamper is Stanford Medicine Children’s Health’s annual fundraising event for the community. The funds raised by our program ensure that we can continue to provide support and care to all bereaved families.
Please email to sign up for any of our events.
All of our services are funded by the philanthropic support of the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health’s Association of Auxiliaries. If you would like to make a gift, please donate online or send a check to address below. Checks can be made payable to LPCH, LPFCH, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, or Lucile Packard Foundation.
